By default, WordPress uses “admin” as the log in name for the first user. With this information, a prospective cracker is only a password away from your wordpress admin account. By changing the admin user name, the minimum amount of information required for any miscreant to access the account is increased.

When typing out a blog post in wordpress, you may notice that certain combinations of repeating characters are collapsed into a single character, for example:
-- becoming —
--- becoming —
... becoming …
's becoming ’s
(tm) becoming â„¢
'' becoming â€
`` becoming “
and perhaps most oddly, words such as, 'twere and 't'aint becoming ‘twere and ‘t’aint.
To the untrained eye, there seems to be little difference. To a computer, they are each as far apart from each other as A is from Z.
